PlayStation Plus is a subscription service that enhances your PSN account and helps you to get the most out of your PS4 system.
There was a time in which I considered myself to be a serious game console gamer, but honestly, that was over a decade ago. I have since officially relinquished my throne as the King of Madden.
Now that I see all of the neat things that games are able to get done online, I get excited about the possibility of carving some time into my busy schedule to rejoin the fun. While my favorite console is the X-Box, The PlayStation is definitely one of the best and most popular gaming consoles.
Now, for you super-serious games who game on your highly powerful computers, this post is not for you. But for the serious gamers who love their PlayStation, pay attention to what follows.
While I was a person who enjoyed the solitude I experienced in playing the computer or just one other person, we live in a world in which some gamers have three and four players on their system at the same time. With PlayStation Plus, these types of competitive cooperative games are available via the internet.
Instant Game Collection
It just keeps getting better. If you are like me, you know that games for your console can get quite expensive buying them one at a time. PlayStation Plus members have access to a regular selection of game titles that have been curated specifically for them, and all of these titles are offered at no additional cost. Now, that is what’s up.
Now, who does not like getting stuff on discounts. What kind of membership would this be if there were not things that you could purchase on discount? So, once you become a Plus member, you can visit the PlayStation Store and get discounts on qualified purchases.
The functionality that you have access to as a Plus member is quite impressive. You have the option of manually or automatically uploading game save files to game save storage where they will be safely stored in the cloud for future enjoyment.
Game creators are constantly coming out with new game titles and new versions of old titles. With the Plus membership, you will have early access to all of these new titles. This means you will have the jump on your friends in learning new games before they are released to the public. This will give you the competitive edge you are looking for.
PlayStation Plus members receive a number of free titles (usually two for each platform – PS3, PS4 and Vita) each month. These games are yours to keep as long as your PS Plus account is active.
Discounts: In addition to a handful of free games, you also receive a discount on a number of games. The price difference between PlayStation Plus members and non-PlayStation Plus members is usually a few dollars.
Cloud storage: A small benefit of a PlayStation Plus membership is the ability to save games to the cloud – allowing you to access them on another system.
Play multiplayer games online: Before the PS4 came out, it was absolutely free to play games online. You didn’t need a PlayStation Plus membership. These days, if you want to jump into a game with your friends online, you’ll need a PS+ account. (That said, you can still message friends and join group chats without a subscription to the service.)
PS+ is an exclusive online gaming service that allows its users online multiplayer gaming, monthly free games , cloud storage and access to exclusive betas.
Its platform wise services are:
PS3 : Gives its members 2–3 free games per month which can be played till your subscription ends , access to a 2 GB cloud storage which automatically transfers all your save files online. Online multiplayer is free on the PS3.
I honestly got it for the game discounts and obviously the online playing capability. I feel like the Playstation experience isn’t complete without a membership! I believe I got mine from eBay which tends to be cheaper :)
